Mathieu Bourret sent word that attendance for the 9/27 Raw house show in Paris, France was actually 15,508 fans and not the 13,000 we reported earlier. We apologize for the error. The Paris show was the strongest of the overseas tour last week selling out the show and drawing a $1.1 million gate.
WWE Diva Melina is expected to return to the ring for WWE as early as January. Melina suffered a severely injured heel in late June on the WWE Draft show and has been out of action ever since.
In regards to the WWE/FCW tryouts later this month in Tampa, the belief is that the company will probably only sign one or two guys and encourage the rest to continue training or that they will keep an eye on them. Keep in mind they are charging $1,000 a person for these tryouts. Scheduled for the talent evaluation is John Laurinaitis, Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, John Cena, Randy Orton, Mr. Kennedy and Melina.
WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling has officially announced their TV series that will debut this Sunday (October 5) on the Brighthouse Sports Network at 6:00 p.m. FCW held a TV taping on Thursday night and that show is expected to be the first or second episode of the series.
Martin Ward sent this in: Hi, I was just on Wikipedia and was checking out 'Fall Out Boy's' upcoming single 'I Don't Care'. The video for the song features the band members, as well as other musicians including Mark Hoppus ( Blink 182) and Pharrell Williams ( N.E.R.D.), and even Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Pete Wentz, the band's bass player and song writer, says the video was heavily influenced by the works of Vince McMahon and Mao Zedong. Wentz goes on to say that the video tries to reflect that "everyone in the world that is famous is just a WWF character........ some of you are Hulk Hogan, and some of you are the Undertaker and it's awesome. It's just as great to come out to the boos." Personally, I don't see anything to connect the video to pro wrestling, but it is a funny video and a kick ass tune.
