Christian Cage has indeed been offered a contract from WWE to return to the company. He is of course mulling it over. Cage is scheduled to work a pair of independent shows next month. He is advertised for the BSE Pro shows in Northern Canada on Dec. 12-13. Traci Brooks and Christy Hemme are also scheduled to appear at the events. Former WWE & WCW Champion Bill Goldberg is advertised to appear on this Saturday's edition of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling. The show airs multiple times during the week. Also, WWE 24/7 will be showcasing a number of Goldberg matches next month in the Shorties section. They're also up to October 1997 in WCW Monday Nitro episodes, with the early days of "The Streak" being shown for the first time in over a decade.
Speaking of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, Rob Van Dam appeared on this past weekend's show. Apparently, his appearance spiked viewership as the show scored 5.3 million viewers for the weekend airings on CMT, up from the 4.7 million viewers the show drew the week before. The show drew 3.1 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic.
