-ECW opening video rolls this week to start. Joey Styles welcomes us to the show with Tazz after the pyro goes off.
-Woo! Ric Flair is on his way to the ring and receives a nice ovation from the crowd.
-Tazz is in the ring and has the mic. He says he’s been in this great business for 22 years and from the day that he started the name everyone knew and respected was the nature boy, Ric Flair. Congratulations are given for being a member of the 2008 HOF class.
-Flair thanks Tazz and Tazz gets out of the ring. Flair calls it an honor and something a wrestler dreams of to be in the Hall. That being the first active wrestler being inducted makes it even better. He doesn’t want anyone to think that his career his almost over though. -Ain’t no stoppin’ me now rocks the speakers and Benjamin is hitting the ring.
-Shelton says Burke’s cool and great minds think alike. He wants to be the 2nd to congratulate Flair on being the “gold standard” in professional wrestling over the years. Now he wants to introduce himself as the new “gold standard” of wrestling and Flair’s time is over. Flair says he’s struggling with their level of sincerity. If the two of them want to talk about gold then he wants to explain to them that to this day whatever they accomplished, and what ever their future holds will never equal the 16-time world heavyweight champ he is.
