Results by Bryan Randles
-We get the opening credits to start instead of a recap from last week.
-John Morrison’s music hits as Joey Styles welcomes to ECW. Joey thinks Morrison should be more concerned then he’s shown for an extreme rules match involving Dreamer. Tazz thinks Morrison looks like a rock star.
-Miz is out next and Styles comments that he also seems to be not phased by the extreme rules.
-Dreamer and Delaney head out together as usual. Dreamer has a shopping cart full of weapons with him, which includes a garbage can. Dreamer is wearing a cubs jersey.
-They recap Delaney snapping last week and wielding the chair.
DELANEY & DREAMER VS. MIZ & MORRISON-WWE TAG TITLE- EXTREME RULES MATCH
-Dreamer and Morrison kick it off with a lock up and side headlock takedown by Dreamer. They get back to their feet and Morrison hits Delaney on the apron with a forearm. Morrison goes to work on Tommy while Miz comes in to help. Delaney flies off the top with a high cross body on the tag champs. Dreamer sends Morrison over the top with a clothesline then flies off the apron on both opponents. Delaney then hits a summersault plancha to the outside on Miz and Morrison!
-Delaney is back inside with Miz as on the outside Morrison whips Dreamer into the shopping cart of weapons. Morrison gets back in the ring and they team up for a gut buster. Miz goes for a flying forearm and Delaney ducks and hits Morrison. Delaney goes off on the champs with the singapore cane. Dreamer comes back in with a trash can lid and starts knocking heads.
-Morrison and Miz back in control now delivering cane shots. Morrison and Miz hit the double team forearm springboard maneuver. They try to catapult Dreamer into a trash can lid and he blocks it. Delaney goes up top and Dreamer hands him a Bears helmet and puts it on. He flies off with a head butt to the groin ala the Dudley’s.
-Miz goes for a running kick in the corner on Colin, who moves and he gets tied up in the corner. Morrison ends up in the tree of woe with Miz and a running dropkick into the corner by Dreamer with a trash can lid nails both of them. They go for a double pin and Miz and Morrison both get their feet on the ropes at 2.
-Dreamer up top with Miz and Morrison climbs up with him. Delaney powerbombs Morrison off the top while Miz appears to DDT Dreamer off the top. Delaney gets tossed to the outside by Morrison who grabs a trash can and holds it into his stomach and does a moonsault from the apron to the floor on Delaney.
-Miz is working on Dreamer back inside as Morrison enters and they team up to throw Dreamer through a table for the win.
***Miz and Morrison get the win and keep their belts in 9:00. (*3/4).
-Armando Estrada is in the ring out of the break. He’s happy to announce that at Wrestlemania stars of ECW, Smackdown, and Raw will compete in a 24-man battle royal. Immediately following that match the winner will face Chavo Guerrero Jr. in an ECW title match. He then introduces one of the participants.
-Great Khali makes his way to the ring.
-Stevie Richards now makes his way out.
GREAT KHALI VS. STEVIE RICHARDS
-Richards throws punches to Khali’s belly to start and Khali then just picks him up and slams him. A tree slam is thrown in for good measure. It’s over.
***Khali wins in :10.
-After the match Mike Knox comes in and beats up a battered Richards.
-Joey hypes Punk vs. BDV in an MITB qualifier as tonight’s main event.
-Deuce is in the ring out of the break.
-Kofi Kingston is his opponent.
DEUCE VS. KOFI KINGSTON
-Kofi hits a spin wheel kick and settles in with an arm bar. Deuce throws him off, but Kofi hits a cross body block. Kofi hits a forearm on Deuce who is standing on the apron now. Deuce pulls Kofi’s throat down across the ropes. Deuce puts on a headlock like hold in the center of the ring. Kofi slips out of it and works on Deuce in the corner. He comes off the ropes with a flying forearm. He then hits his double-legged leg drop. He goes for a monkey flip in the corner, but Deuce holds the ropes. Kofi comes back and hits a buzzsaw kick for the win.
***Kofi picks up another victory at the expense of Deuce in 4:00. (1/2*)
-Backstage Striker is talking to V while music plays over the conversation and Joey hypes his MITB match with Punk in the main event.
It’s time for the Raw Rebound. Of course it’s Big Show and Mayweather. It was a great segment. Actually Raw in general finally delivered some excitement to ‘Mania. The only thing missing was Edge and Taker interaction, which is sad.
-Tazz hypes what Big Show did to Floyd. Joey says that earlier today at a ‘Mania press conference in Chicago Floyd had his elbow taped. They then hype the card for ‘Mania.
-Lena Yada is backstage with Punk who gets a huge pop from his hometown crowd. Punk says if he wins the MITB ladder match at ‘Mania he can take on the ECW champ whenever he wants. He says he has a couple things going for him tonight. One being he’s in his hometown of Chicago and the other being that he is, CM Punk.
-Now they show a video package on Maria’s playboy signing in NYC at the Virgin Megastore. A bunch of fans talk about how hot she is while Maria says she is proud to be a playmate.
-Biscuits and Gravy! Jesse and Festus are headed to the ring. It appears Festus will be in solo action.
-Elijah Burke will be his opponent.
FESTUS VS. ELIJAH BURKE
-Burke was ready for Festus to go nuts at the bell and hits a 4-up. Festus comes back and whips Burke into the corner, but misses with a running shoulder. Burke works the left arm with a couple different submission holds. Jesse tries to get a Festus chant going, which succeeds mildly. Burke throws Festus into the turnbuckle then hits a nice running dropkick that gets a 2 count. Burke goes back to the arm. Festus hits a bodyslam and a running butt bump into the corner. Now he hits a back elbow, but gets hit with a kick when he goes for a back body drop. Festus comes back and hits the flapjack for the win.
***Festus picks up the win over Burke in 4:00. (*).
-Shelton Benjamin has joined the announce table as a guest commentator for tonight’s main event.
-Big Daddy V makes his way out first with Matt Striker.
-Punk comes out next to the expected big hometown reaction.
CM PUNK VS. BIG DADDY V- MITB QUALIFIER
-The bell rings and Punk basks in the Punk chants around the arena. Punk hits some kicks to V’s legs and he comes back with a couple punches that put Punk down. He comes back with more kicks to V then hits the ropes and V catches him with a side slam. “CM Punk” chants erupt again as V stands on Punks neck and back. V hits a chop in the corner and Punk falls to the mat. More chants for Punk as he gets to his feet then is hit with another chop that drops him again. V hip tosses Punk out of the corner.
-Punk comes back and hits the running knee. He does it again. He goes for the bulldog and V throws him off. Punk comes back with a running kick. He goes for the GTS! The weight of V collapses Punk who lands on top of him. V gets knocked off the apron to the floor with a kick and he’s struggling to get up. V is too fat to get up!
***Punk wins by count out as V is too fat to pick himself up off the floor mats in 5:00. (3/4*).
-After the match Striker gets himself a GTS. Punk points and stares at the Wrestlemania light up logo atop the building. Joey says Punk is going to Wrestlemania.
